Answering Your Questions!

27th January 2019

How is it 27th Jan already pleaseeee?! Not that I’m complaining, January is always such a MEH month and this year I decided to jump on the Dry Jan bandwagon so as you can imagine I’m ready to welcome Feb (and G&T’s) with open arms. The good news is I’m still making my way through my Christmas chocolate so swings and roundabouts.

I wanted to do a fun post answering any questions you guys had about me so I put up an Instagram story earlier in the week asking you to send me Q’s to answer for todays post. So here goes, if you guys are even half as nosey as I am I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

What’s your favourite piece of clothing you own?

Ooooh this is too difficult! It probably changes every month depending on whether I’ve bought anything new BUT if I go by the item I feel most fab in it would have to be my Zara leopard print pleated midi skirt I got last summer. I don’t wear it nearly as much as I should because I’m doing that annoying ‘saving for best’ thing, and also because it’s so lightweight I’m trying to save myself from any Marilyn Monroe moments in this weather. Come Spring I’ll be living in it!

What’s your favourite fashion retailer?

This one is easyyyyyy, Zara all day every day please! Zara is definitely the closest retailer to my own personal style and it’s always the first store I run to on any shopping trip. I love that there’s two different vibes in one shop, with the Women collection being more classic and TRF bringing a bit of fun, making it really easy to pick an outfit that suits your personality and style. Obviously I’m big in to Topshop, New Look, H&M and all the other high street giants but Zara is the one I can rely on in all seasons for all occasions. It’s also the store that pushes me out of my fashion comfort zone when I’m in a rut!

Ordering from Zara is always an absolute treat – clothes are delivered all wrapped up pretty in tissue paper as opposed to shoved in 10 plastic wrappers, 10/10 would recommend!

What’s your most used accessory?

I’m pretty tame when it comes to accessories so as boring as it is, my most worn accessory is my black circle buckle belt and my black Fiorelli backpack. I won’t go more than day without using one of the two!

If you could burn any fashion item, what would it be?

Hahaha I LOVE this question! Honestly, I’m so trend led I’m finding it so difficult to think of something I truly hate. Kitten heels and the usual suspects probably all feature somewhere in my wardrobe, even things I initially thought were hideous (cough, baker boy hats) are now staple parts of my daily outfits. BUT if I had to pick something it would have to be jeans that aren’t high rise  because I just find them so unflattering it hurts!

Would you ever do any posts/blogs about interior design?

This question came up a lot and yes I would absolutely love to start writing more about our home and where we get our interior inspo from. I’m by no means an expert in this area but I know what I like and I’m so so happy with our little home, I’d love to share more of it! I’m thinking that Insta stories might be the best place for this so I can save it all in a Highlight for you to go back to. I’m open to ideas so let me know what interior content you’d like to see and where you’d prefer to see it!

Do you have a ‘regular’ job?

This one also came up a lot and it’s a question I always wonder about other bloggers! Of courseeee I  have a ‘regular’ 9-5 (I wouldn’t be able to survive with you!); I work full time in workplace/employee wellbeing, speaking with companies across Norfolk to help improve the culture of the workplace and develop wellbeing strategies (probably not the industry you would expect me to work in, right?)! It’s really fun and we have a fab little team, but finding time to write/shoot content is not easy…

What are the best places to eat out in Norwich?

This is a fun one, we eat out waaaay to often because neither of me nor Sascha are keen cooks (unless pouring a jar of bolognese sauce over Quorn mince counts?) so we’ve made our way around most of the restaurants/cafes in Norwich! For coffee and breakfast we loooove Alchemista (St. Gregory’s Alley) and No 33 (Exchange Street), for lunch/tea our faves are The Bicycle Shop (St Benedicts) and Giggling Squid (Tombland) and pubs that also do fab food are The Cottage and Fat Cat Brewery Tap!

Honestly I love living in the city it’s the best decision we ever made, being able to walk everywhere is such a dream and there’s always something fun going on (especially in the summer) but it does mean I spend waaaay too much £££!

Annnnnnd that’s all for now, thanks so much for all of your questions! I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know me a bit better and if you have any burning questions I didn’t answer here then my DM’s are always open! xxx
