This is a paid for post in collaboration with Marks and Spencer.
I will forever have a soft spot for M&S. It was my first ever job when I was in sixth form – a Christmas temp position on children’s wear – and now every time I go in to the store I get a little fuzzy feeling, especially around Christmas time it’s just so so homely!
It’s one of the few high street stores which is genuinely a pleasure to shop in as opposed to browse online, dangerous for the ol’ tum though because try as I might I cannot leave without a packet of Percy Pigs in hand – and now it’s a packet of Percy Pigs and something from the Holly’s Must-Haves collection!
Holly Willoughby has teamed up with M&S once again to curate a collection of winter must haves and I won’t lie to you, I want them all. I love love LOVE that Holly can rock being all serious one minute talking heartfelt stories on This Morning and then be part of the crude (but equally hilarious) humour that is Celebrity Juice, and it’s the same with her fashion… Changing her look to suit the event with the smart and sophistication looks on This Morning, more chilled vibes on Celeb Juice and most recently all of the safari feels whilst in the Jungle. Such a style Chameleon!
I find that M&S tends to be overlooked by my generation as a place to grab some fab fashion finds but I’m always pleasantly surprised when I wander through, what with it’s well priced, high quality staples. The most long-standing clothes in my wardrobe all come from M&S including the most glorious pair of white wide leg trousers which have seen me through many a summer holiday. I’m still desperately holding on to them even though they’re now quite obviously tight at the waist, whoops!
Holly’s collection is the capsule wardrobe I always dreamed of.
A lot of the pieces are separates which can form the basis of an entire wardrobe. The stand out jackets, blouses and boots can be styled up and paired with different items to suit anyones personal taste making them so so wearable but still fun and playful!
Holly’s latest collection launched on Thursday just gone and I was so so kindly invited along to M&S in Norwich to pick some of my favourite pieces. I couldn’t get to the store until the afternoon and you best believe that the new arrivals were flying off the shelves already, but I managed to pick up all of my favourite pieces from the collection and all in my size waheeey! I got to use M&S Norwich’s Fit and Style Room to do my own little mirror fashion show, but the room is usually used for free in-store personal styling which is especially useful for special occasions or if you’re looking for a bit of a style revamp!
Obviously the first thing I grabbed (literally) was the pink textured coat which has been all over my social media feed and righty so. Most of my coats are really structured so this slouchy number fills a hole in my wardrobe, what’s more I think I now just about have a coat for every outfit! Also, newsflash guys but these are the only pair of skinny jeans you need in your life and they’re only £19.50 and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about these before now!!!! Every time I ask for jean recommendations it’s always the usual culprits I get as a response – Topshop, Zara, Levis – but seriously these are a dream and they should be on top of everyone’s denim list!
It wouldn’t be me without adding a bit of leopard print to the look (and I totally copied how Holly styled this) so helloooo new leopard print high neck blouse. A rather mature pop of animal print for me but I love it all the same and I can tell you already that I will be reaching for this most mornings before work and the Insolia support in the court shoes makes them so comfy even they are office appropriate!
What a fab Christmas present pieces from this collection would make for the Sisters, Mums and Nannies in your lives! Holly’s Must-Have collection is now available in the following M&S stores as well as online: M&S Tamworth, Norwich, Thurrock and London Colney.
