Hello, hello! It feels like foooorever since I sat down to write something for the blog! I’ve been very much enjoying Insta recently, and thanks for all the love on the leopard print midi skirt outfit by the way – turns out it’s you guys favourite outfit as well as mine, now how many days in a row can I get away with wearing it?!
I’ve been in my annual summer clothes rut recently, because (if you hadn’t already noticed) I’m frankly shocking at dressing for the hot weather! Plus it also means you have to stay on top of the fake tan situation which is just one too many things to keep on top of… weather where I can hide my legs is very much welcome. Enough moaning, of course I have been liiiiiiiving for the heat and enjoying how it makes everyone all smiley and chirpy, I’m all about that positivity and anyone who wants to piss on the hot weather parade is not welcome around here!
Fashion rut victims rejoice, Femme Luxe is here for you!
Luckily for me, the lovelies at Femme Luxe obviously caught wind of my summer dressing dramas and veeery kindly sent me over some essentials which I could not be more grateful for. So you’ve guessed it, I’m going to be showing what I picked and how I styled the pieces in the hope to impart some inspiration to any fellow fashion rut victims like myself!
GREEN CONTRAST TWO PIECE
Anyone else a sucker for a two piece?! There’s something so effortlessly put together about a matching set and this green contrast two piece is no different! It fits like an absolute dream which is always a worry when having to order the same size top and bottoms but Femme Luxe got it spot on (for my body type anyway – if you’re straight up and down you’ll be fine!), and the print makes a bit of a statement which is fab if you’re not shy with experimenting with colours and prints!
Ribbed knitted dress
This ribbed knitted dress caught my eye because of the glorious buttons down the front, I’m a sucker for the whole big button trend whether it be on tops, skirts, dresses – just gimmeee all of the buttons (still trying to find one of those Primark ribbed tops with buttons in every colour!). This was a little bit of a riskaaay choice for me because I’m not all that in to skimpy numbers like this, hence the need for my trusty shacket which is giving this outfit some serious festival vibes. We might be nearing the end of festival season for this year but if you have any last minute tickets, this is a loooook!
One shoulder crop top
I’ve been eyeing up the one shoulder trend on Insta for a while now and I know I’m going to get so SO much wear out of this one shoulder crop top. It’s such a welcome alternative from a strappy crop, or bandeau! It’s so tight (I got mine in a size 6) you don’t need to wear a bra which is a winner, and it takes every outfit I pair it with (and believe me, there’s been A LOT in the last week or so of owning this!) from mediocre to 10/10 dressy!
Let me know which look is your fave in the comments, mine is the one shoulder crop without a doubt and I’ve just had a thought, I could also pair it with the two piece trousers – hallelujah! Or if you have any styling tips for any of these pieces then help a gal out and leave them down below too!
