This is a paid for post in collaboration with Thomas Sabo.
Happy Monday you lovely lot! I am currently sat on my bedroom floor trying desperately to sort my ever growing jewellery collection in to some sort of order. Which to put away? Which to display? You know the drill. I have forever been that person who likes everything neat and tidy, and having a pile of knotted up necklaces with the odd ring intertwined is just not me. But as you can imagine – since I gravitated towards my blog and here I am tapping away on my laptop – it’s not going particularly well.
I’ve recently got a fancy new jewellery holder so I’m trying to arrange my necklaces in a somewhat aesthetically pleasing fashion and it’s surprisingly difficult. The only thing I am certain on, and therefore the only thing that is currently hanging on said jewellery holder, is that this Thomas Sabo necklace from their Generation Charm Club is going firmly on display!
I’m usually a delicate and dainty jewellery type of girl, a definite change from my ‘costume jewellery’ days at University, but I’ve been consciously changing up my jewellery game recently and this slightly thicker chain and pendant caught my eye. Since I’m all for experimenting with different styles, I’m also straying away from my usual silver pieces and dabbling in to the world of gold! Does anyone else have that constant internal battle between gold, silver and rose gold when it comes to accessorising?! The good thing about these charm necklaces is that you don’t need to choose just one anymore, having a mixture of charms in all three colours is very on trend and something I will definitely be trying myself.
For me, gold feels more Autumnal so I wanted to start off my collection of yellow gold necklaces!
There is something so satisfying about collecting charms and building your own personalised set to create a piece of jewellery so unique to you. For all of us sentimental people (we are all a bit sentimental right?) it’s such a great way to recognise big events and milestones like holidays or anniversaries, after all that is what it’s all about – Thomas Sabo’s Charm Club was first launched in 1995 to collect memories for special life moments!
Thomas Sabo are doing charms right!
There are so many styles, sizes and options to suit all ages, which makes expressing your personal style through your jewellery easy. If anyone is thinking about Christmas shopping already (don’t judge me!) then these are a definite must on any gift guide, the charms in particular would make such a thoughtful and treasured present to all the special ladies and men in your life.
This would look super lovely paired with another longer pendant necklace for creating that layered look that everyone is after, worn with the perfect LBD for a Christmas party (yes I’m already thinking about party season!) to let the accessories do the talking!
I was drawn to this beautiful four-leaf clover lucky charm because of the intricate cut out detail, or maybe I’m in need of some luck? Either way, I love how the clover sits within a circular pendant which gives it an almost vintage feel whilst still looking neat. There are SO many equally beautiful charms to choose from and since they are linked using a lobster clasp they’re so easy to remove, move and change. I’ve put together some of my top picks below!
Let me know what your favourite charms are and tag me @wearsrosie in your Generation Charm Club pictures, as always I would love to see what you’ve picked! Since I’m slowly collecting some really special jewellery pieces I think I’m going to have to treat myself to a jewellery box of sorts, to restore some order in to my ever-growing jewellery collection.
