Hi, hello, I hope you’re all well and enjoying the arrival of the warmer weather!
I have been VERY absent on the blog writing front recently (and by ‘recently’, I mean since the beginning of the year but seriously where has the time gone please?!) but life has got in the way. Not in a bad way though, totally the opposite in fact; there’s been no dramatic changes in circumstance, my 9 to 5 hasn’t been ~particularly~ full on and I most certainly haven’t been working out too hard that I just don’t have time to write (SIDENOTE: reaaaaally should start training for that 10k I signed up to in July, whoops!). Nope, none of that, what I really mean is that I’ve been enjoying doing not a lot, being spontaneous, not ‘living for the weekend’ and most certainly not working to any deadlines if it’s not essential… and it’s been bloody lovely!
I’m now well and truly in full summer mode and have been since that first glimpse of heat we had back in April and I’m certainly looking forward to some more impromptu beer garden escapades over the next few months. Summer for me is all about indulging!
In other, more exciting news I was recently asked along to Winsor Bishop to shoot some content for their socials – and mine! – and got throughly spoilt in the process. If you’ve ever been to their Norwich store you will know that it’s a whole indulgent experience of sparkly goodness (and if you’ve never ventured inside then GO GO GO, you won’t regret it even if it is just for a nosey!).
I was there to shoot the pendants from their Notes Collection and was gifted the cutest ‘R’ initial pendant of my own, which has not left my neck since. But before I get on to the necklace itself, I neeeeed to tell you about the packaging because that in it’s own right is just a delight; every layer of ribbon, then gift wrap, then the gift box is just beyond special. It’s the perfect present if you were ever looking to give something a bit more luxury for a special occasion! Unboxing it whilst reclining – drink in hand – in their Diamond Lounge was a proper pinch me moment!
Ok, now back to the necklace…
I’ve been wearing it everyday for a good few weeks now and there hasn’t been one occasion where I’ve wanted to swap it out to wear something different, which for me is the tell tale sign of a true staple piece! I get bored easily when it comes to jewellery which is why I’ve always tended to be a costume jewellery type of gal, you can swap it over, go matchy-matchy with your outfit, make a statement… BUT my favourite thing about this necklace is that it’s sooo dainty you can stack and layer more pieces over the top so there is never a need to take it off. Ever.
